Is there any way in Smart Notes to send Outlook appointments?

How technical do you want to get? If you truely want to dynamically create a appointment on the fly its going to require you dive into advanced XML techniques. The path of least resistance would be to save your ICS file on a share some where and then embed a link to it in you SmartNotification template or as an application link in the infoset.
