Upgrade best practices?

When we upgrade to v10, we are moving from Oracle Solaris (Unix) and Oracle DB to Windows and MS-SQL.
We have 700+ reports. What is the best practice to get the reports converted to MS-SQL from Oracle?
Doing this all on go-live weekend is not acceptable.

Do we spin up a new version of LBI and point it all to sql? Or do we republish the reports in current version with just a new name? Other options? Other opinions?
