I added several new items to Lawson. When my users go into Lawson RQC and search for the item in Search Catalog, some of the items display a price and some do not. I've checked each Lawson form and they are all set up the same, so I'm not sure why some items display pricing and some do not.

The other question I have is, what Lawson form is used to set up a new manufacturer?

I've found that usually the box without the price is because the item is not on a released vendor agreement.

Michell is probably on to something. Also, check IC14 for manuf setup.

Hi Michelle - I actually searched on the Lawson KB prior to reaching out on guru. I went back to PO25.6 and released the agreement (just in case I had missed that part), but received the message that it had already been released.

In the Search Cat in RQC, I'm still seeing prices for some of the items and none for the others. When I add them to the shopping cart, the prices does pull over, but for the user pop., it's unsettling because they initially think no pricing is associated.

I was told by the Purchasing mangager, a bit after I sent my email to guru, that this problem has existed with our RQC Search cat, so I may open a Lawson Case.

Thanks for the info on IC14 Mike!!

Hi, we had this same issue and discovered it was based on if items were on a PO25 agreement. If an item is on a (released) PO25 you should see the cost in RQC. If the item is not on a (released) PO25 agreement, the requester must have the same location in RQC as the item resides in order to see the last rec cost.

Are you sure the items not showing a cost are on a PO25?

Bev- Another thing to check it those users who are searching and don't see a price, make sure its a NEW requisition they are trying to search within rather than one that was already started. If you click New at the bottom right hand corner of the screen it will allow you to start a new one and at the same time it clears the cache. Sometimes the cache needs to be cleared to get info that's recently been added since a req was begun to appear. Just another thought of a tip to try...

I've got a current bug in RQC Search Catalog, where if I search by part number, the price does not show. But if you search by description or copy/paste the Lawson item and search for it, it immediately finds the cost. I haven't been able to find a rhyme or reason to it - but we did do some maintenance to the manuf codes prior to go live. Now I'm going to have to go see if it's related.

It's only Search Catalog - Express Order and the trigger from the Special/Service that prompts them that the item already exists, work just fine.

But things to try: PO25.6 release (PO26.7 might be a better see them all at once screen for this)
IC180 - force the search dictionaries to rebuild
Have IT clear the server cache/WebSphere "bounce" - note I do not fully understand this one, but my IT point person does this periodically for us.

Kat- what is this trigger in Special/Service that prompts if the item exists in the item master? Is that something you built in ProcessFlow?

Hi Sheri,
I'm sure they are on a PO25. I also went back to that and released and rec'd a message saying the agreement was already released.

I went to RQC and typed in the description of one of the new items (there were several) and the price appears on some of the new items, but not on others.

I think I will ask our IT dept to perform a cache clear as regular maintenance to see if that resolves the issue.

I was going to ask about the participant setups if the items were on different agreements. But you're saying that the cost shows $0.00 in the search return but populates when the item is added to the cart. That really sounds like a bug to me.
