MSCM: Adding users automatically

Is there an official or unofficial way to add users to MSCM via script or calling an API?  

For example all of our nurses (thousands over time) need to be added.  We know this up front.  Could we not add them to SCM automatically?

I did a mass-add of users to MSCM a few years ago so I believe thi s is possible (unofficially). As I recall, when the user was set up in Lawson, the automatic sync populated most of the user information in MSCM. I believe there was a "MSCM User" flag that had to be turned on in the MSCM database, but not much else if anything.

That's what I was thinking although I think we are having to add more info than that. I was wondering what kinds of gotchas there were doign it that way.
