I have never used LCM and Lawson before and have no idea how to
apply a hotfix to the LCM in Smart Office, could someobdy give me an idea or where to start or provide me with installation docs?

The LCM user guide provides the information for applying fixes. In Lifecycle Manage click on Actions from the Main menu, select the product for the fix then click on search. You will see a list of available fixes to apply. You will need a user id and password. I believe it is the same one used to log into Inforextreme.
