    Hello:

Am new to Lawson and unfortuantely we are being trained by our own staff who has limited knowledge. of the ins and outs of Lawson. We are learning by getting in there and trying basically.  We are implementing M3 Smart Client and am looking for a basic info document on canvas shorcuts, the F help keys and  other shift +F... shortucts, shortcuts for moving through panels and the like. Any help would be so beneficial. I have printed the M3 companion manual from navigator but is doesn't have these sorts of subjects.  I am sure I am not utilizing these basic features to its fullest potential

Also what is printing a "range" all about? How is this helpful to me when printing a customer order?

    Please email me @ tomk107@yahoo.com.

    Thanks so much,

    Katrina

    Hi Katrina,

    Good Morning.

Nice to see your mail, I know your question is related to basic requirement in M3. Based on my experiance in Movex & M3 the options are different depending upon the program you are using. The standard options in Movex & M3 are as follows:

    Option Description
    1 Create
    2 Modify
    3 Copy
    4 Delete
    5 Display

Rest of options will be available depending upon the program you are using.

There is no such document available about the Movex & M3 options.

Please let me know, if you need help further.

    Have a great day.

    Thanks & Regards

    Dear Jenny,

    Good Afternoon.

Yeah, you can upload budget using .csv file from program BUS100/E (Import Budget) to BUS101/B1 (Blank Budget Created for import) to BUS150/E (Import transfer Template) there you will find doc name (i.e .csv file for budget upload) Folder name (i.e folder path where you have save your .csv file)

I hope this will give a thought.

    have a great day ahead.

    Thanks & Regards

Thank you very much for your response Mallikarjuna- every bit of info helps.

I wonder if you could help also with:
Can you delete an item on a customer order if they choose not to purchase or must you create another order number completely and copy only the items they want to it from your first order?

What sort of uses would I have for the copy to clipboard feature on the toolbar?

    Thanks again.
    It is much appreciated.
    Katrina

If you have access to Mylawson you can dowload the SmartOffice user manuals there. I believe there are 3 of them(User, Developer, and Admin.) Hope this helps.

Thanks- however we do not have access to Mylawson or at least our IT staff has never told us any access info for this. I am learning by asking questions or playing around in Smart Client and finding things.

Thank you.  Importing from a .csv seems to work except for some reason it is taking the first digit in my account number and duplicating it 4 times.  My account number 81500 imports as 88888150 and 76700 imports as 77777670.  This is my first field.  Has anyone else run into this issue?

UPDATE:  I've found if I add a field in front with '0000' in it, the rest loads ok.  My other problem is...I need to load a value for each period, I don't want to use a curve. I've tried adding BCBUPE as a field as the first column or the last column of my load but it doesn't work.  Help?
