We're in the process of implementing Lawson 9.0.2.14 (M3) and I am attempting to get the GL current year budget and prior year history loaded.  I am using the GLS850 for the history and thought it would be the same format for budget.  I have been told I have to hand key the budget (5,000 lines) into Lawson using BUS100 because we have FP6 (fix pack 6) and not FP7.  Can this really be true?  I cannot believe it.  Is there any other way to get the GL budget data into Lawson?  PLEASE!  HELP!

We always upload a new budget every year. We do that by doing a importdb from a csv file into FBUDBETREL. We then run FB165 and this creates a new budget. We are not on 9.0.2 yet but are running 9.0.0 apps and enviroment.

She's referring to M3, not S3...so FB165 is not applicable...

Thanks for using the LawsonGuru.com forums!

Dear Jenny,

Good Afternoon.

Yeah, you can upload budget using .csv file from program BUS100/E (Import Budget) to BUS101/B1 (Blank Budget Created for import) to BUS150/E (Import transfer Template) there you will find doc name (i.e .csv file for budget upload) Folder name (i.e folder path where you have save your .csv file)

I hope this will give a thought.

have a great day ahead.

Thanks & Regards

Thank you so much. I have my .csv file ready to go but, when I load it...it isn't loading correctly. I have extra characters loading into the DIM1 field, it duplicates the first digit 4 times in front of the account and drops the last character. Strangely, all of my other fields are in their proper places. Do I need to do some special formatting or something? I'm using Excel 7 and then saving it as a .csv file.
