Lawson will not process an allocation for a company if a GL190 is running. We normally run the CA190 for company groups. This can leave some allocations in a group processed and others in a released or processed state. This can get very confusing at month end. Both GL190 and CA190 are compiled as non-concurrent for us but I'd like for there to be a way to prevent CA190s from running when a GL190 is running and vice versa. Our Finance people are in muliple locations so coordination of work is difficult.
Has anyone faced a similar issue? How have you dealt with it?

We have had the same issue at closing. Especially with multiple GL190's for different companies running together in contention with one another. Our solution was to create a JOBDEF/RECDEF of the GL190's and schedule it to run hourly. Then we took security away from everyone except senior accountants who could run jobs when needed outside of the schedule. Additionally, there were JOBDEFs created to include CA190 and GL190 in alternating steps. It may sound like a band-aid solution, but we haven't heard any complaints or had issues.
