The $63 per year/per covered life transitional reinsurance fee (TRF) to be paid to the federal government by insured and self-insured group health plans beginning in 2014.  Just wondering how other company's are setting this up.  We have a wellness incentive that will also tie into the overall health premium.  So, the formula would be:  base premium + TRF Fee - wellness incentive = total health premium.  We were thinking we would should set this up as 3 sep. health plans since they need to roll up into health for ERISA.  Since the fee is a difficult number to divide for some folks who cover multiple dependents, on a bi-weekly basis (payroll), we were thinking we may have to setup this deduction as a monthly deduction. Looking for alternatives to make sure we set this up properly.

    Thanks,
    Allison

Wow this is the first I have heard about this. So you are taking this fee directly from the employee? Of course...that's where everything comes from I guess.
