Using Oracle ASM for encrypting Lawson DB table\field

    Our security folks want to implement Oracles ASM module to encrypt the FICA field within the EMPLOYEE table. How does Lawson react to that field being encrypted by the ASM tool and what happens to the data when it is displayed in say HR11? Does it show up?

      Generally, Oracle will return the data to Lawson in a 'ready to use' state so you should not have any issues; however, TEST, TEST, TEST prior to production.
