We are anticipating the eventual move to LSF 10.  We understand that LAUA goes away.  I have been trying to get this completed before that time.  I have documentation that tell me what I need to have in place, but when I try to enter a batch job from Lawson portal, enter the name - click inquire and I get a message at the bottom that says 'field is required'.  I can't get past this.  In the LSF 9 Security I have the user setup as CheckLS = 'Y', I have Batch role assigned.  The user identity is setup for SSOP.  The user does have an OS user.   I am not sure where I can even look for answers, because the error message of 'field is required' does not tell me anything.  I have searched the forum here and on myLawson.com and have found tons of information, but nothing about what I am seeing.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks,  Julia

I need to add a few more things. We have LSF9 security already setup in production for several years with the majority of the users using portal for ESS, and then the other user are what I would call power users who have many roles, acess print files, running jobs, etc - currently in production today they have CheckLS = 'Y', but they are also in LAUA. So in test I have removed the user from LAUA and have used the documentation to verify setup. I forget to add this important information.

When you say "I have removed the user from LAUA" does that mean that you've deleted them (F9) from LAUA, or just blanked out their security class assigment?

Even under LS security, the users will likely appear in LAUA.

In the LSA, when pulling up a user, do they have a Data Area/ID specified in 'Edit Lawson Environment Information' section?
          They will need this!
