TA146

TA146 - Canada Vacation Calculation

Canadian Time Accrual Calculation (TA146) creates and updates transactions
for employees enrolled in time accrual plans. TA146 uses the Canadian vacation
plan parameters and schedules to calculate appropriate dollars and hours for
accrual.

You can either update manual transactions and current payment records or just
manual transactions through a specific date. No accrual will take place unless
the employee has met the requirements of the schedules entered on Canadian
Vacation Hours Schedule (TA40.2) and Canadian Vacation Date Schedule (TA40.3).

TA146 produces a report that shows the accrual transactions for the employees
and the beginning balance before the accrual and the ending balance, The
report also lists "lost vacation" if that employee has met the maximum hours
allowed by the Plan in TA40.1. In order to balance out the transaction dollars
when an employee has met the maximum hours, the system will calculate lost
dollars as follows:

* Calculate Lost Hours

* Lost Hours divided by Total Hours = Lost Ratio

* Lost Ratio times Total Dollars = Lost Dollars

Important: If you use Canadian Vacation Payout (PR130) to pay out vacation on
a pay period basis, you must run TA146 first.
