Date Parameter Formula?

I'm fairly new to LBI and what I would like to do is set up a drop down of pre defined date parameter formulas such as Year to Date, Last Month, Previous 6 Months, as well as Date Ranges instead of the user having to select the start and end dates.  I know it can be done within crystal, but can it be done through LBI?  If so, how would this be accomplished? 
I've tried just hard coding 1/1/2010 as a date in a drop down list but haven't been able to get it to show up when the date parameter is prompted.  I must be missing something there as well.

I still do it in Crystal and then in LBI once the report is published, go to maintain parameters and delete the parameters created already on that screen and the Crystal parameters will prompt as usual.
