Congrats on posting!
I ran a query of the entire table and the field numbers are listed sequentially in a Field ID column. How can I go into the table to see data is in a particular field.
For instance, field 20 is the Employee Status, but how do I go into Lawson and actually SEE the status IN field 20? I'm not sure where to look because I'm new to Lawson.

Hi Bev,
The field definitions are stored in data is stored in the PADICT table; the data that is stored in HRHISTORY is stored in either A_VALUE (for alpha fields), D_VALUE (for date fields), or N_VALUE (for numeric fields). So, for field id 20, look at the A_VALUE, since Employee Status is alpha.

You can use the Excel addins to dump out the contents of the PADICT table; also I have a simple Crystal Report for sale in the store that reports the definitions:

Thanks for using the LawsonGuru.com forums!
