We're running LFI 9.0.0.2171 on a Windows XP machine sitting in our fax room. Occasionally, and recently more often, the application just crashes for no apparent reason. The log shows nothing. Sometimes it's not discovered until the next day resulting in delayed deliveries and some angry docs. Is there anyone that knows how to write a script that can monitor whether a program is running and if not shoot an email out to someone to notify them?
Or better yet, a script that will launch LFI if it finds it's not already running.

We have the same version and recently have been finding that the LFI application simply closes down and needs to be re-launched. We also have a query that runs automatically several times a day and emails a report to alert us of a potential issues. The report contains all POs where there is no status update. If the number is very high or the issue times are outside the 15 minute window we have set up on LFI to begin the loop, then this is an indication that there is an issue that needs to be investigated.

Good idea, thanks. We are in the process of replacing the XP box with a Windows 7 box and installing the latest LFI version. If the problem persists with the new version I'll create a similar report.
