Hello,
As I continue to do more testing for the asset management module I came across another error which I'm hoping someone can help me with. I'm trying to transfer an asset from one company to the other using AM30.1. However, the following error message appears: "Company is not defined within range for activity." We only have two companies set up and I confirmed that an intercompany relationship exists between them in GL25.1. Any help will be appreciated!
thanks,
Miyuki

From your error message, it appears that you are also posting your asset transactions to the activity module (AC). You can see the company range allowed for the company in question on the AC07 screen

on AC07 add the company on the company option for which you would like the asset to and from transfer.
This will resolve the error.

Thanks for your suggestions. However, it looks like AC07 is set up correctly for the activity. I'm wondering how Lawson knows which activity to use in AM30.1 if there is no field to enter that information or to attach a template.

AM05.1 is where you set up the default information for adding, adjusting, transfering and deleteing assets
