does any one run ap246 with a control code

we need to add the control code and in lawson I see Payer name- are they the same.

The anser is yes- the 1099 default under the filed of payer you place the 4 alpha code.
I finally got someone at the IRS after many calls, and hours to answer this for me.
For anyone else faced with this, I hope it helpes
