Summarized distributions in APDISTRIB & MA01.1

We went live on 9.0.0.4 apps in December 2009 and didn't change the flag in MA01.1 under the options tab to summarize distributions to "N". We discovered this after users were running crystal reports and getting stange results. We then changed the flag to "N" and all reports were correct (from the date of change forward). This did cause another issue with crystal reports. The data that is now getting written to the GLTRANS table  in the "DESCRIPTION" field actually contains the "ITEM NUMBER" now (after the change) instead of what it contained before (vendor number and vendor name concatenated). The finance department doesn't like this.

We had the same issue in 8.0.3 with the exception that we had to have a consultant customize the APCA70PD because there was no option to "NOT" summarize the transactions. The modification only changed the issue to not summarize and didn't change the information going into the "Description" field in GLTRANS.

Has anyone else have the same issue and what have you done about it?
