8.0 to 9.0-Differences for payroll

We are getting ready to our upgrade and I didn't know if anyone had a document showing the differences for Payroll. When I was at CUE 08 this year a Lawson employee told me that he had such a document and would send it to me but I have tried twice to get a hold of him and I have had no luck...so I was hoping someone else has already gone through the upgrade and could give some direction as to what things have changed.

I have searched online and cannot find anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That document is available from the Lawson support site as part of the apps upgrade downloads. Typically those downloads are made available to the client upon starting the upgrade process and having the initial conference call with their client account manager.

Thanks for the quick reply. We have a new Lawson Adminstrator and she is unfamiliar with some of the process. I will ask her to look or ask our consultants who are doing the upgrade. I didnt know if the document available online was specific to just payroll or its all lumped together. I am not familiar with these items as I am just an end user.

Article 200001 in the KB has the the release notes for the app differences. You'll probably want to contact you CM to register and receive the Upgrade Info Packet if you haven't already done so -

Also, the Lawson Learning Library has a webinar on the differences.   I think it is $200 if you have not purchased the library.   I went ahead and purchased the library because I thought it would be good as we plan and implement LSF9, APPs9 and Process Flow Integrator.

I was not able to find a "differences" document per se, but there are release notes that outline the changes. In our case we are on 8.03 and planning on implementing 9.004 so this meant reviewing the release notes for 8.101, 9.001, 9.002, 9.003 and 9.004. I think the majority of changes came in 8.1.

There is a power point document that details the changes in an earier format than the release notes attached to the web training on mylawson.
