The benefits team will begin offering deferred compensation 457-roth option. They setup an employee with the new deduction code using PR14.1. Payroll added another record using the PR05 screen. I want to report the employee deduction and amount but I am not really sure if I have to read the payment master file and the payment deduction file or the EMDEDMASTR file. Any help would be greatly appreciated?

If you want to know what was deducted, have you looked at the PR275? If that doesn't work for you, I believe you want to pull from PAYDEDUCTN. EMDEDMASTR stores PR14 information.

Hi Margie, but payroll would first have to create a payment for test employees setup with the new deduction code?

Yes, if this is not yet in production. Did you set it up as a benefit plan or just a straight deduction?

Correct, it's not in production yet. he users had a work around in place for the new Roth Deduction, but now Lawson has sent a ctp patch that should handle this the right way. BSI taxfactory is also setup for this deduction.
I wrote a program to pull data from the PAYMASTR and PAYDEDUCTN files to list employees with ROTH deductions/contributions. What Lawson file/table has YTD contributions for the tax year for x employee?

I would think you could use the QuartDed file and roll up the totals for each quarter in the year desired for employee x.

I wrote code to pull the totals off the QuartDed file as you suggested and I am able to get YTD totals. I applied Lawson CTP (a
ddition of BSI benefit plan codes for Roth 457(b) and setup BSI code. So far so good, I just have to wait for the users to enter their test data so we can create a test file. Thank you Chris and Margie for your help!!! :)
