Hoping someone can help me out here.
We have a cycle based accrual table (LP04.2) that's occasionally used for our part-time employees. Historically it was set up as a flat amount of hours per pay-cycle (since most of our part-timers worked the same FTE), but I'd like to change it so that it's a calculation/formula:
3.076923 hours * (Employee's FTE)
Simply put, I have no idea how to do this, as I'm not very familiar with the LP04.2 screen.
What's the difference between the Formula field and the Calculation field? Can anyone tell me which field I should use, and/or what syntax I need to use to replicate the calculation above?
Any help would be appreciated - thanks!

I would imagine that you can set it up on the LP07.1 as the calculation and then attach that to the LP04. I am also thinking you will want a newly effective dated lp04 record when you make the change.
Make sure you test.

Kelci,
This is very common and pretty straight forward setup. First in some instances both a formula and a calculation can provide the same results but personnaly I prefer to use the calcs. For your example a Calc is simplier. It looks like for your situation you want your FT EE's to earn 80 hrs/yr or 3.08 * 26 pays. I chose 2 decimals since employes don't understand the signifance of decimals beyond two. I've attached a screen shot of LP07.1 and just attach this to your accrual table. Note that 3.08 * 26 = 80.08 so if you really want to have a hard stop at 80 setup an Accrual Limit table as well. The only reason for any employee to accrue over 80.08 is if a manual adjustment is entered on LP70 to the accrual bucket. Good luck,
Ken
