I am implementing a new Applicant Tracking System and we are looking to write hired applicants DIRECTLY to the Applicant table. I am wondering if anyone has done this and if anyone has suggestions for me????
I know about PA531 but I want to script the whole thing so that the users do not have to run a bunch of different processes. They will need to run something from the ATS (hosted system) - then I want to have something setup to just write the information to PA31 automatically.
Thanks
Shane

I wouldn't recommend writing directly to the applicant table. What I've done for clients who are implementing a 3rd-party recruiting system is to create a clone of PA531 and tailor it to their needs. PA531 isn't very complex--it's really just a wrapper that passes data to the 2000-PAAPL-EDIT-TRAN and 4000-PAAPL-PROCESS-TRAN APIs. By incorporating those APIs into your custom interface, you're taking advantage of Lawson's logic and future patches, etc.

I agree with John, we implemented an outside ATS. Even post live, there are still interface issues that are being addressed & resolved. Be sure that have you reviewed all the fields being fed into Lawson, & that is as complete as you can make it. You may find that additional fields are needed. Also, make sure when they are added, signoffs from all parties,HR-recruiting, PR, post testing are rec'd
