8.1 upgrade to 9.0 - SQL Server case sensitive?

We are in the process of the upgrade (with a consultant). I just found out that SQL Server 2005 was installed with the COLLATE set so that it's case sensitive now. Is that a Lawson requirement? It sure is complicating matters on stored procs, functions, etc.
