Cloud explanation

We are going through the sizing process to see if it is financially viable. The basics:

NT Platform, using Amazon infrastructure

VMWARE is the underlying virtualization platform.

You get a higher level of service than bronze or probably even silver, particularly if you are at Bronze. (This kind of irks me.)

A mixture of Web (portal) and VPN/ODBC (interface) access is utilized.

You may not have access to the underlying OS or database, though I'm still pusing back on this one. Nor would you have access to the VMWARE console to take / rollback snapshots.

Lawson will take care of the patches. You won't have to worry about hardware upgrades again.
