Passing Windows credentials from ESS to web app

We will be adding a hook from ESS to a hosted web app and would like the ability to pass credentials in the http string. I know certain values such as employee number are available through variables in ESS sessions, but has anyone been able to pass credentials out of ESS in keeping with the SSO concept?
