Would someone know what would be the best way to have programmers be notified when a job fails? I have a program ED501 scheduled in recdef. This program goes into the recovery queue and all the jobs go into waiting and we don't know until the next day when orders did not come in.

You can write a script that checks via the 'jqstatus' utility to send you an email.
I also use a process flow to monitor the queued jobs table,

Thanks John. We do not have process flow yet.
