We are testing out 9.0. I know you can still use LAUA security in 9.0; but
1.how do you turn it on ?
2. add new users in 9 so we can use exisiting laua security classes.
We normally in 8 we added new user to lawson local group on server, then user showed up in laua.

When you add a new user in Lawson Security, the CheckLS flag is set to NO for LAUA security, YES for new Lawson Security. Make sure you add them to a Lawson user group via usergrpdef (Lawson group) in addition to adding them to the Lawson Local Group (Windows group). That, in addition to putting them in Lawson Security/RM should make them show up in LAUA...

thanks for the reply.
So you still need the local lawson group on the server ?
All I got out of the class, was setting the CheckLS to no (for laua security),
to review
1. still need local Lawson group
2. add to group
we had consultant do upgrade for us, I can see all users in laua - but he did not re-create the Lawson group on the server. When we turned security on in LAUA - I could not do anything.

Yes, you still need the user in the local Lawson (windows) Group if they are a LID user and/or run batch jobs.

AS always, thank you for your prompt response.
