Crystal report hyperlink to detail crystal report

I have a crystal report published in LBI that has a hyper link to open another crystal report to obtain detail. the detail report opens in excel and works fine, but when i go back to the main crystal report and try to click to the next page i get an error "unable to process your request". Does anyone know why I'm getting this or how to fix it? the main report pages fine if i dont' click the hyperlink to the detail report, but one i open the detail report i get the error.
