Search box in framework services?

Anyone know how to remove the search box that shows up for LBI? Since this is linked into portal both search boxes are showing up and confusing users.

I'm sure I can dig and find it but thought I would see if anyone has already done the leg work.

We've done that to remove the search box from ESS/RSS/MSS users that do not have job duties in the core application.

We updated the default.xml and assign a different .xml for those who need it from those who do not.

Shoot me a message offline and I will try to get you the coding for that piece.

Mark - I'm not talking about the standard portal search box - LBI has its OWN search box that displays within the dashboards. And that is what is confusing the users - they have TWO search boxes. I'm trying to remove the LBI one.

I haven't done this since 9.0.2, but this is how I did it:

Comment out the 8 lines of code directly below "//search" in application.js
