We need to create replenishment orders for our OR inventory to replenish from the Main Storeroom inventory. We plan to use IC141 to create the orders. What I'm finding is that the process requires a lot of human intervention. What I want to do is run the IC141 so that a Pick List can be printed in the Main Storeroom with a recurring job.

It appears that if I use a Document type of T on the IC12, I have to use IC22 or IC25 to release the document but nothing prints and the product instantly transfers and updates the OR QOH.

If I use a Document type of R on the IC12, I have to release the document in RQ10 then print the Pick List with WH130 and then when the product arrives in the OR so a IC23 Intransit Receiving.

Looking for suggestions on how to automate this process.

Bruce,
A caveat upfront, what follows is what I think should be the answer(s), but it has been a long while since we looked at replenshment by requisition.

1 - The IC140, IC141 and the IC142 each have a flag to create released or unreleased documents. It sounds like you want them to be released as a part of the creation process, so are you saying that the flag is set to create released documents and yet the documents are not being released? If so, my guess is that there may be conditions (inactive items at the From Location, insufficient stock on hand, or some other issue) that are preventing the release of the document. The print report should indicate any "hard stops" that are preventing the release of the document.

2 - For the IC141, I belive the document type you actually want to use is Issue ("I"). Again, it has been a while, but I believe this is what is required to create pick tickets, rather than direct issues. I think you might run into problems if the Document Type is "I" but the From Location is not carrying the item as Inventory Tracked.

Again, I wholly admit to really digging back a ways for these possibilities.
