8.x ESS Security Class

Does anyone have a canned security class available specifically for ESS? I called Lawson Support and they will not help without paying them, apparently they don't even have a canned class they can offer up.

I found a document called "Employee-Manager Self-Service Techincal Documentation". It's detailed, but doesn't have all the dependancies documented. Meaning, I followed this document to the letter and stripped away all the layers. Started testing ESS and things were broken, so I had to put pieces back even though not stated in doc.

Any help would be appreciated.

This is going to sound very frightening.
If you want to skip the "canned" ESS security class (since Lawson doesn't have one anyway), you can simply add a security class that is, well, wide open.
This works for us, but might not be the right solution for others.
For us, only a few employees are also "core" Lawson users. Everyone else is just ESS/MSS.
For those non-core users, what prevents them from going places and doing things they shouldn't is the portal setup. We remove the search box and restrict their links to just ESS/MSS.
This is not exactly what you were looking for, and like I said, it does sound frightening and is not for everyone, but maybe it will help...
