We have about 5000 rd30 records. Most of which do not have the PORTALROLE attribute filled out.
Is there an easy way to identify the blank ones, and therefore create a LX995 job/file to fill JUST the ones that don't have something in them already?

You could do a quick Crystal report, joining WEBUSER TO LOMXVALUE on OBJ-ID for MATRIX-CAT=PORTALROLE, and hide ones that don't have a Blank/NULL value on the LOMXVALUE side of the JOIN.
You could also do something in SQL with SELECT ... MINUS ... along the same lines...

I also recommend doing PORTALROLE per user category (if you have large number of users to be assigned for the same role) rather than doing individual LX95. See Lawson KB article on Required Content assignment.
Thanks.
Alex.
