Hello, I am trying to run a program and get the following error: Scheduler: timeout on message from server  invalid server response calling: /cgi-lawson/xjobctr.exe We have already tried bringing system down (stop and start), deleting the job, recovering the job. I also check in the jobqueue and it's there with a status = 22. any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Hello, I am trying to write custom code to update a table. My users wants to enter comments up to 150 characters long, but I can only fit up to 75 characters. So I added multiple rows of comments to give me that many characters. Emailing a report from a custom program but the report is incomplete even though the script call is at the very end.  I need to close the report file manually but CLOSE REPORT-FILE returns compile error.  We have gotten by this in scheduled jobs by calling the script from a token but this report is processed on demand and I can't tie a token to it as the user may process the job under another name.  Is there a Lawson API that will clear the report buffer and close the report...

Hi All, Every so often I see files named 'cnvscr.detail' and 'cnvscr.out' show up in my $LAWDIR/{prodline} directory.  The files appear to be empty. Can anyone tell me what these are  Any concerns with deleting them Thanks! Kelly

Is anyone transmitting an interface file to Mosby's Skills I have a very simple extract file we are trying to send to them.  It is basically a tab-delimited file with 'lf' at the end of each line.   I am including a 'lf' character (hex 0A) at the end of each line but they are picking this up as an invalid character.   We have tried transmitting the file in binary format, auto format and via a pgp file and nothing seems to work. I compiled a custom program and ended up with a .aif file in my obj directory.  I don't recall ever seeing this before. That or I didn't look hard enough.  Does anyone know why this file is in there and what it might be used for  Can it be deleted  Thanks in advance for your help.

Is it possible to 'publish' a non-Lawson text file to a user's Print Manger Specifically, we have a 'batch-like' process flow that creates a print file and an error file. I know we can email users the reports from process flow, but it would be nice if the reports could be displayed/accessed through the user's print managers.

I am trying to figure out if possible how to configure S3 ESS Benefits Enrollment to handle a Spousal Surcharge for our Medical plan. We have a custom program that has been working fine but all of a sudden came up with what looks like a ReadCSV error (see attachment).  There is no READ done in the program, only OPEN, WRITE, and CLOSE.  Yet the user gets this error.  Anyone have any ideas Thanks in advance for your help!

Does any know how to force a file to be variable length from 4GL. I know file media needs to be Tape. But I cannot get variable lengths to come out. Vendor requires 4 recs lengths and must be var. How can this be accomplished with 4GL

I added the following two functions and SRC references to the ESS Benefits Enrollment disp_ben_01.htm file to retrieve and update the HL_COV_PROOF field in the PAEMPLOYEE table. We have just moved our test system to version 10.0.5 and there is a change to the way the LOGIN page graphics are being handled in this version....    I know how to find and replace the graphics in the older versions but this version is hiding it a bit more...   Anyone have any suggestions (The location changed from version 10.0.2 --> 10.0.5)

Lawson has deprecated a number of date/time apis.  This was done atleast in version 9 and is also listed in the 10 manual.  There is no replacement for a number of the apis.  The one I am interested in is 515-UPDATE-DATE-TIME.  This gives the current date/time.  Does anyone know of the replacement that is recommended

I am writing custom code and we have encountered an issue. when employee switch process levels, it reports the new process level, I want to be able to look in history and get the previous process level. Where can I get this data from Would that be in HRHISTORY

In version 10 of the S3 apps there is a new item in a number of the .scr files.  $AUDFORM0  HR93.1  is an example.  Does anyone know what this $AUDFORM does  It is not in the Application Dev Workbench Standards document.
