I am shortly going to upgrade Lawson to 9.0.1.9 :153, immediately followed by a further 28 patches to bring me up to version 561. No problem with that.

I am also going to upgrade AIX to the latest service pack, so I shall be going from 6100-04-07 to 6100-07-05; plus I shall be putting WAS to the latest fixpack, 7.0.0.3 to 7.0.0.23

Is there a preferred order in which to make these upgrades. They will be done consecutively on the same day. Should it be OS, WAS, Lawson? Or Lawson first? Or shouldn't it make any difference? Anyone have any experience of a preferred order?

    Thanks

Don't know if here is a preferred order, but if it were me, I'd install the OS patch, the WAS patch, then the Lawson patch.

OS, WAS, and Lawson but I'd check the JDK of the new WAS you may want to look at Bouncy Castle if you use it.

OS, WAS, Lawson is the order we've done recently
