I was told that we are required to move to windows 2K8 in 2012 to be supported by Lawson and Microsoft.... (we are running 2K3 R2) However, Microsoft apparently is still supporting our version of the O.S... Anyone have thoughts or information to share? Thanks Shane

I am currently trying to establish justification for this exact OS upgrade.
Do you have that in writing from Lawson, or can you point me to a document
on support.lawson where this is stated?

S3 End of Support Notice dated 4/22/2010 - you can find it on the support site under Products>Decommission Notices

Hi Shane & George -
Keep in mind you will need to update the MKS toolkit version as well on 2008. Only version 9.4 is certified for use with Windows 2008 R2 on 64 bit platform. MKS 9.2 caused some issues with certain PFI node functionality. I believe the JT# is 226445 on Lawson support.
I know a lot of folks are using Lawson Unix Utilities - however I am told a lot of the installation documentation is still calling out using MKS, so maybe no way around this.
All the best,
RC

How about this - anyone else looking to stay on 2003-R2 through the end of 2012?
I am looking to find a list of companies so that I could either work with Lawson or a Third Party to get support provided for 2003-R2 until 2013. (I am guessing it will not be that involved and Lawson is just trying to push clients even though it has little impact on the system.)
If I could find a couple companies I could get a shared support arrangement.
Thanks
