Par to Par Transfers... Possible???

    Ok perhaps this is the dumbest question ever asked on this site but here it goes.

    I am being asked how we can easily transfer items (mainly at night) from par to par locations and have it tracked in the system. I have said the only way is to credit and then reissue. But I have been told I am wrong and there must be a way because all systems are equipped for this.

    If there is a way can someone enlighten me or offer some ways others have dealt with this????

      You are correct. No other way to do it because the supplies are already expensed. I have seen orgs develop an inter dept billing form that could be used by the night shift then keyed in the morning as you described (credit dept A and charge dept B using ic21)

          Chris,  we get this question from our hospitals as well.  Sometimes it is not just a wish to move between par carts in the facility but to send to a par cart at another facility location. 

          What do you think?  Enhancement request?  Probably need to create a lot of background transactions since already expensed supplies.
