Dental Black Out

We are using Cloud 10 and want to set up our dental plan so that can only enroll in the plan every two years. We are hearing from our consultant this is not an out of the box solution and that creating code to prevent this opt out may not feasible. Does anyone else have experience in this area and how are they resolving this situation This option is offering a standard option and we are surprised that this is not available out of the box.   Any help would be greatly appreciated.  ...

Find recently hired/promoted Supervisors

Hello everyone, first time poster here.  We're using Lawson 9.0.1. I was just asked to create a report of all newly hired or newly promoted supervisors since August 20, 2015.  They'd like to be able to run this report quarterly so they can acknowledge and introduce these employees.  I'm using Crystal Reports 2008, how can I generate this report  Nothing fancy, just employee name, employee ID, and maybe department.   Thanks in advance, Tyler

FSA annual enrollments

In annual enrollment, choosing an annual amount or a bi-wkly amount is not calculating properly.  If you choose an annual amount of $1200, it shows the annual and the pay period (your cost) amount as $1200.  If you choose $50 per pay period, it shows the annual and pay period amount as $50.  I've had a ticket open with support over a week.  My BS06 cycle table is correct.  I would appreciate any advice please.  Our open enrollment go live is next week.

List of automatic generated reports on Lawson dashboard

Received a request to have a list of automatically generated reports. Would anyone happen to know an easy way to get a list of reports that have been created and added to the dashboard As of now, I would have to open each report in the Reporting Report Administration and see if the selected report is scheduled. We have hundreds of reports and hope there is an easier way to do this. Thanks!

Hi Everyone,  We are migrating to 10 and want to know if Lawson offers email approval functionality. For example, we want an approver to receive an email notification that something needs to be approved. Rather than the user click a link to log into Lawson to approve, we want the user to click on an approve button in the email that is then stored in Lawson with a time date stamp and the name of the approver for the transaction.    Is this existing functionality And if so, how ...

Absence Plan payout by percentage

401k loan deductions

Today we have a PR14 set up for loan deductions; and we do not maintain a loan number in Lawson for these. To my knowledge there is no way in PR14 to store a loan number.  Soon we are changing vendors; and they require a loan number to be interfaced along with the loan amount. So we need to find a way to pass the loan number to the vendor. Has anyone ever used PR26 (garnishment) to track and set up a deduction for a 401k loan  Or do you have a suggestion how I can pas...

BN17.1 Minimum Dependents

I have a new EL benefit plan set up with coverage options. Option 4 is Family coverage, Dependents is set to B - Spouse and Deps, Nbr of Dep Min is set to 2. When I ESS enroll with only one dependent on HR13 (spouse), it allows me to enroll in Family coverage. Has anyone else seen this problem, or am I missing a setting somewhere

PR298 EFW2C

Pay Period Date Changes

Currently we have 2 pay periods run in the same pay cycle.  Both are 2 week pay periods 1. Monday through Sunday 2. Sunday through Saturday We are wanting to roll all payroll into the Sunday through Saturday pay period.  Has anyone consolidated existing pay periods before  If so, what challenges did you face  How did you manage LP accrual plans to work with the new dates Thank you very much!

Absence Management: Carryover

Attempting to get a better understanding of how Carryover can be processed. I am particularily interested in the order of processing for the LP140 jobs while calculating carryover. We will have carryover on 01/01 but of course would like to pick up usage and accrual through the end of the year. We currently process usage one week behind.

We are going to be setting up an HSA plan. Can someone give me advice. Since there are different lmits- single vs family do you set up 2 separate plans I can set up the high deductable health plan as HL, do you set up the HSA as an RS plan Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Mirror Health Plan (auto enroll dependents)

This open enrollment season we are 'carving out' our Preventive Dental benefit that used to be embedded in our Medical Plan with one vendor but the employee will not notice any change. In essence it is a zero premium plan and enrollment into it happens only when the employee elects Medical. Retention bonuses for non-exempt employees

PA52 Upload

We've had a change to our pay scale that has resulted in market adjustments for about 500 employees.  What's the best way to process these pay rate changes in Lawson  I've used add-ins before but I haven't ever uploaded to PA52.  I tried to map my fields for PA52.1 and get the result 'Add complete - Continue' but there's no data in report file in PA100.  From what I've read it has something to do with hidden keys, which I know nothing about.

HSA and 457b Catch Up Provisions

Hi All, My company initially set up a 457b and HSA plan without catch up provisions.  Now they want to tackle them.  If you're not familiar with 457b, the catch up is comprised of contributions from missed participation in previous years (there's a lot more to it, but that's the gist).  The HSA is a simple additional $1000 per year for 55 participants.  Are these accomplished by just additional deductions  Or does this require a second plan  And since BSI has no...
