Does anyone know where in the database I can run a query that would tell me which fields on a given Lawson Screen are required and which fields are not.

I am getting very strange results when I use 'sysdate-30' in a query. Is this a bug in Oracle I get same results from TOAD, SQL Plus on Windows PC and SQLPlus on my (Unix) Lawson server. If the sysdate check is first I get incorrect results. If the sysdate check is second I get the correct results. Below is a sample of the query I was trying to run followed by a query that does return the correct results. The only difference is if the sysdate clause is before or after the OR statement. ...

We recently upgraded our environment from LSF9.0.1.6 to LSF9.0.1.11,  There are some performance patches that we are now attempting to apply but they are failing.  After working with lawson for over a week they said we have a messed up environment and to start all over and this is why they recommend using professional services. We are planning our Infor 10 Upgrade and would like to know from experience what factors helped you choose Kerberos or LS as STS for your authentication protocol. We run on AIX 7.1 platform and will be using Landmark for Process Flow.  We are currently in production with LSF9.0.1.11 and Applications 9.0.1.5 and our users are on LASE security. We are in the process of planning the migration of Lawson S3 9.0.1.X from an AIX 5.X to an AIX 7.X server.  The server will have a new name and IP address.  I was wondering if anyone has successfully done this or will this require a re-installation due to the name and IP changes .... How can you determine who keyed in an alternate pay rate via HR14.1  We've got a case where someone or several someones are doing it incorrectly.  We'd like to see how and when is doing this but there is no datestamp/timestamp or userid column in the PRRATES table to do this with.  I've tried seeing if there was an OBJ-ID with another table but no dice.  Any suggestions as to how I can provide this information to my payroll management

Hello, I am trying to understand how our install log which was current at the time of the last update (ctp) in February now has a date of march 2013.  Some of the other files like ios logs etc have shown the same dates across all environments. Also the permissions have changed from lawson/lawson to root and system. I did do a search on a touch to see if that was the case and the last time was in 2013. Is there a global setting that would allow every print job to create a .pdf Some jobs create .pdfs and some don't, and we really need every job associated with payroll to create a .pdf that we can ftp off. They all will open with .pdf, but the .pdf doesn't exist in the folder.

How are you accomplishing high availability for Lawson 

I am planning for upgrading LSF from 9.0.1.10 to 9.0.1.12.  The only upgrade guide I can find talks about upgrading from 9.0.0x to 9.0.1.12.  Does this sound right I'm waiting for an answer from Infor Xtreme support but thought I could get a faster answer here. Many thanks.

We installed several CTPs in our PATCH environment, one of which had a DB change.  After installing the CTP, we needed a data refresh from PROD to PATCH.  This is now causing us several errors.   We'd like to uninstall the CTPs in PATCH, then reinstall with the current data hoping this will fix the DB issue.   Do you see any issues  Can you recommend a better solution

Hi,  For those out there who are Lawson Administrators that are expected to monitor and perform some Oracle/database duties, what types of things are you doing around db maintenance  For example, are you rebuilding indexes on a regular basis  This **seems** to be the most obvious one but we'd love your thoughts on other database-type activities you may be doing to keep your system alive and running well. AIX6.1 - LSF90112. according to Infor KB, batch.pl will handle WFACTVAR did anyone use this perl script how do you guys manage to keep WFACTVAR at managable level.

We applied a large batch of CTPs last night (we are on 9.0.1.8 - Windows ).  This morning we are noticing that we can no longer view pdf's of the reports.  We can view the reports in text format, but the pdf's display as a blank gray screen.  Has anyone seen this before  I checked the KB, but no luck so far.
