Right now, we (my counterpart and myself) are only aware of one way to deploy the client, and that is to go to every end users' workstation and install Smart Office. For those who were not at CUE and have not seen, Smart Office is now available for maintenance only. No license purchase if completed prior to August! They price it based on the number of heads down users from areas like HR, Finance, Purchasing. Then you pay the maintenance for the year. I expect a flury of activity on this offering and a good deal of converts.

Hello everyone, I'm going to install LSO for a new customer and I was thinking about choosing the latest version, the 9.1.3. But a lot of things changed, mostly with the grid which I never installed. Have any of you already tried installing it Or installing any Grid products My main questions are about the HTTP server which looks like to be handled by the grid, and the SSL certificate. I'm installing LifeCycle Manager on windows 2008 server. LCM is installed for version 9.0.1.8.  The LCMService is installed but it isn't running. I restart it but it imediately stops. The server log says that there is no configuration for the wrapper. I've rebooted a few times, verified I'm in the Admin group to start the service, etc. Still nothing. I understand that for an implementation to be successful you need more hardware on the client vs server. But I have yet to see any specs for the hardware. Does the specs on the server matter Can someone tell me how their performance is How many users are live with this what specs is the server you are using Is everything installed on one server What are the specs of the client you are testing with.

I just installed an instance of the LSO 9.1.9.x and it is a little different from previous versions. The canvases are different and don't have the jarring colors as previous versions. Also just to get the basic functionality of smart office, i.e. to just have S3 forms without companion and videos, we did NOT have to install Websphere. (We did not have inbaskets or LBI). So if you're looking to install LSO 9.1.9.x you could keep this in mind. Thx, Roger

I go to the LSO site using the FQDN and port /LSO and I get to the 'Install Lawson Smart Office'  page but when I click the link the address it is trying to bring up is the name of the LCM service host with the same port number and indicating that the LSO server with tthe client port.
