Does anyone know how to make the session timeout different for LSO than it is in Portal  I just took an LSO Admin class and asked the question if the timeout feature was different for LSO than in Portal, the response I received response that the timeout is the same as in Portal, it is set in SSO config.  My understanding is that LSO is for core users not casual users, so why not have a different timeout feature.... 

Hi All, I have a LSO installation working with the ClickOnce install and I can log into LSO and run M3 programs in the Navigator widget without any problems. But when I use the MSI install I am able to log into LSO but the M3 Transaction menu never shows in the Navigator widget.  Has anyone seen this before or knows where I should be looking to fix Thanks MP

After Installing all the components of LSO 10.0.4, I get the follwing error when logging into LSO: 'Unable to connect to Server. … Possible reasons for failure are that the server version is to old or the server is not configured correctly' - I am looking for any help in solving this error.  Or if someone can point me to a LSO log  that may give me more information. Hi All, Whenever there has been a long period of inactivity I am receiving the error message 'The message 508 was returned from the server' when trying to run any programs. If I retry the program it will then run as normal. I'm assuming this is just a time out message but wanted to know if there is anything I can do to stop this or change parameters somewhere so the first person on the system each day doesn't get this message. For example I want to start OIS100 and go to the order lines (option 15 or panel 1) That work fine but when I try to exit the order lines with F3 or back I get the error messag 'Failed to render panel'. Our users are used to have on average  5 programs open at one time. On top of the canvas you can see the open programs. However if you maxime the screensize you do see it anymore. Is there a way to permanently show the open programs like in the old workplace So that you immediately can chose a program from the list. Thanks Jo

We have two users that get the error 'Lawson Client has encountered a problem and has to close' when they click the print screen icon in LSO. They get the normal windows selection box to select a printer, then get totally thrown out of LSO when they click ok. Any ideas

Today again, I know of other clients who were somehow, by attending user group meetings, or hearing it 2nd or 3rd hand from others, were under the impression that, as Lawson S3 customers, would be FORCED to use LSO in Infor 10.  To me, this is misinformation or misinterpretation. We are in the process of creating roles for our Lawson users and are wanting to find out what is the best practice to create roles for different users in a department. I also know that these roles should be the same as the roles assigned in LS for that user. In this case again what practises have been followed while creating roles. Please share. thanks in advance.

We are wanting to set up a reminder to put a 'N' for automatic time records whenever a new hourly employee is hired in the organization. My first though is using the sticky note but I want to automate this in LSO that whenever a new hire hourly employee is hired it sends us a reminder to enter 'N' and was wondering if there are any better ways of doing this. We paid the $99 to download the script from Lawson to display the employee photo on HR11 in smart office 10.0.5 We modified the script with our server information and put it in the persistdata/lawson/smartclient/data/scripts/DEV directory that it's supposed to be saved in. In 10.0.5 LSO, I created a Role with the same name as the Portal Role that is assigned to a group of users in Lawson Security, which I thought was supposed to automatically give them the LSO Role since they are named the same.   But none of the users in LSO have access to the Personalization that I set up in the Role. There are 250 users and only one user has problems with in transaction MMS001 - Status (MMSTAT), this user has problems with the visibility, the drop down menu is not always visible, there is not scrollbar visible, this is only visible what fits in the screen. Has anyone else run into this issue  When we are looking at a line on PO20, the first detail tab works fine - provides information relevant to the selected line.  But the subsequent tabs (specifically tax, pricing, cancel) seem to grab data from the first line of the PO or the first line showing on the screen (line 6, 11, etc).  I just submitted an incident on the infor extreme site because I couldn't find this problem documented anywhere else.  However, I find it hard to be...

We do not have Mashup Designer; but at Inforum it was brought up that we can download and 'install' pre-built mashups. In the portal print manager screen there is a column called Description and it pulls in the job description from the job that created the output.  The same field is not in LSO print manager, is there any way to get that field to display
