User slowness

We have several users reporting slowness after using Smart Office for a period of time. If they restart (log out/in) then the slowness temporarily subsides.
They primarily use a mashup to do their work, and the constant having to log out/in is hindering productivity.
We had a theory that their user log is filling up, so we changed their log level, but that doesn't not seem to have any effect.
Any suggestions we can try

Problems installing LCM Service

Hi All,
I've successfully installed the LCM Server and service is running and I can access the LCM web page on port 4062. When I attempt to install the LCM service I enter the IP, Port, username and password then the install starts it does the following:
unzips updatelcmservice.zip
displays classpath entries then shows the following:
The LCM Service will be installed with 64bit Java
The LCM Service must be installed with Java JDK
Then the install returns the command prompt.

Unusual behavior in PO20 screen after application of CTP

Hi all.
A little over a week ago we installed CTP117867, which moved us from version 96.1.39.1.12.1.2 to version 96.1.39.1.12.1.4 of the PO20.scr and from version 138.2.57.1.47.1.43 to version 138.2.57.1.47.1.44 of PO20PD into our Production environment and users have been seeing some odd behavior in the PO20 screen on load. Some parts of the form do not appear normal and also there are data values in some columns that do not belong.

We have LBI enabled in SmartOffice. Users are able to click the dashboard and be brought directly in.... however when they click a link from that dashboard, they are presented with a login box.
Any suggestions as to where to look I was under the impression that they shouldn't have to log in.

I've installed LSO/ISO many times.
So new issue though on a new LCM (LifeCycleManager) version 10.1.0.0 on Windows 2012R2 Standard server.
Java 1.7_80 is installed.
Plenty of memory, space, etc.
Installing it as doman lawson account who is a member of the local Admins group.
I'm installing LCM using the java -jar function.
It get's to the 'install new LCM' screen, and then click next the Prerequisite Error panel displays:

My Lawson Smart Office just quit working and now won't reinstall. When I try to sign-in, just after I put my password in the following message comes up: 'Lawson Client has stopped working'. INFOR support has given me the most recent URLs and I've checked the list of MS Windows 10 hotfixes that are 'broken'....nothing seems to apply. Has anybody seen this error before, and what did you do to fix it

I am wondering if there is a function in M3 V10.1 Smart Office that allows you to easily supersede one item into another.
So basically let's say we have Item A and it will be replaced by Item B. There is no set date for this to occur as it is dependent on stocks of Item A needing to be depleted first.
I really want to have Item B set up, allow stock to be ordered and receipted and then once Item A is sold out it changes to status 80 and the new Item B takes over.

I am trying to create a list from the IC81 in smart office, but can not seem to figure out how to include the ITEMSRC table in the list and it is not part of the Fields/Table you can choose when selecting the data to show. Is this accomplished using the 'links' I am trying to figure out what that area is for, but have yet to get it working.

Has anyone integrated Perceptive Software's ImageNow with Lawson Smart Office We use ImageNow as our document imaging solution, at the recommendation of Lawson, but after beginning implementation, we quickly realized that Image Now can't 'screen scrape' data from forms in LSO! So, any time we want to scan into Image Now and then index that document, we have to use Portal. This is a problem since everyone that would be linking documents uses LSO!

Hi, everyone!
Hope someone can help me. I'm trying to enable User Script option and I've been following KB 1211449. I've gone into LSO, and created a role. I'm having difficulties understanding step 2, however.
It says Once the role is created, it needs to be defined in the user's RM Info in LSA.
Where do I associate the role I've created in LSO with the users that need it Does it go in the PortalRole attribute

We've been having issues with spaces being entered either at the beginning or the end of the CBT-TRANS-NBR when manually input. The field size is up to 10 alpha characters. We've requested users enter 10 characters to eliminate this issue, but they get creative and the addition of spaces causes an issue with locating the transaction later. Is there a way to personalize the field on the form to require exactly 10 characters be entered

When we open up a print job in ISO with the default PDF, there is no option to Save the report - we have to Save As, which then goes to temporary folders.
When we open up a print job in Portal/Mingle with the default PDF, the report can be saved, and the folder location is saved. So when payroll is saving print jobs, they

The filter token does not start with - !* ' does not work for us - ISO 10.2.0.0.49
If I type an A in the Last Name field and then insert the !*, I get all of the last names that start with A.
In the Status field, if I type in !*T, I get all of the statuses that start with T.
all of the others tokens work. Has anyone else had this problem

Scripting - Set field alignment on Lawson form

Is there any way to change the text alignment (justification) on an existing Lawson form field On the PO20 screen our users would like the Vendor field to be left justified (don't ask me why!).
I added the following code but the text did not shift to the left.

I am trying to add a new tab to the PO20 detail/tab area using Lawson Smart Office scripting. Currently the PO20 screen has 6 tabs in the detail area. I want to add a 7th tab to which I want to add additional data elements.
Unfortunately I cannot get the scripting to work to either get the tab page container or add a new tab page. Below is a brief snippet of the scripting code I have. Each of the console.WriteLine values are coming back as undefined.

Soapbox: The following 2 items we can do in Design Studio in about 5 mins. I have been trying to find a solution in Smart Office for over 4 hours.

I know you can create list driven views in SO and that there are some forms that can have the data changed directly from the list driven view.
I believe not all forms can be changed that way even if you can create a list driven view. Correct

I'm currently working thru the install of the Smart Office client on my PC and have hit a snag. After providing my login credentials to Smart Office, I'm presented with an invalid name or password 'Authentication error'. Guru's,
When attempting to bring up Print Manager or Job Scheduler in ISO we receive 'Server Timedout' error messages. We also see these same messages when bringing up list views for some MA and AP screens. The tables these screens read, including the userrpt and queuedjob tables, are very large for our organization. Has any other large sized customers had issues with list views loading data

I am attempting to replace WSP with DSSO DSP and I am getting an error. 'Task Register DSP container finished with an error: Failed to run script. Do I need to uninstall WSP first Has anybody seem this error before
I am following the steps from the installation guide:

Getting an error when trying to install DSSO - LifeCycle manger is 9.1.11 and Grid is 10.1.11.0. Getting the error '
Failed to install DSSO! Error: Fatal: Not all permissions were set'.
Can't seem to track down any other messages in any logs - and can't get past this point.....
DSSO router is installed and running fine... the DSP Container is set up....this is DSP since Lawson environment is 9.0.1.12.

Is it possible to disable user from changing their own personalizations, but still apply some personalizations on them
I unchecked disable personalization in MFroms settings and applied disable user personalizations.
Disabling user personalizations should only disable possibility to create and modify personalizations, but as it seems it also applies Hide all Personalizations option. Am i right

Hello, we hired a Lawson consultant to install LSO and we are having a few issues. Everything there is a hotfix/LSO update, I have issues with exporting, signing and importing the latest version. I opened a ticket with Lawson and they noticed we have windows session provider in our LSO grid.
Ok I have done some research so in order to update to 10.1, it's required that we have DSSO session provider installed on the server. The DSSO session provider is needed if you are running the Laws...

We are on 10.0.5.1.46. I only have one role set up for our users and I am in the same role. For the most part we are on XP so we know that we can't use mini-mode
and we can't actually view tutorials - but some of us at least show the tutorials in the window and some show nothing. I don't see anything in the setup. I do see KB1464267 in Infor Xtreme

Changing host name in grid?

The host name was set up with short name - not FQDN. So when the installation point gets signed its signed with the short name which then causes the client install to fail with the SSL error. I can 'back door' this by changing the host name in the MachineConfig.xml on the appdata folder on the client - and then it works fine and the install works and can connect the client - but would rather fix this on the server side and resign the installation point.

Has anyone else had issues with LSO requiring high graphics cards and CPU to open M3 panels quickly Doing a lot of testing on different machines I found a decent workstation with good GPU can render a panel or close a panel in under a second but if I try the exact same test on a entry level PC or Citrix environment the panel can take up to 3 seconds to display and close.
I've tested from the same LAN as the M3 servers to rule out any network related issues.

Export to Excel and Microsoft from LSO works on my pc for me, but not on a user's pc (even for me).
I've set up so I can export to Excel or Microsoft from Lawson Smart Office, but it doesn't work on all PCs, not even if I log in as me.
But! On the user's PC I was logged onto the PC as the user, and logged into LSO as myself. I don't know if that would make a difference.
If I log in as the user on my PC the export to Excel works, but not the other way around. HELP!

When in HR11, I am unable to copy the data in the Company or Employee field using the shortcut key (CTRLC). The copy function only works when I right click on the Company or Employee field then select copy. The paste function using CTRLV works fine. Could this be a version issue or limitation

Hi to all, I'll have to install LSO in infrastructure IBM i 6.1.0 and M3 7.1, but I have experience only with Windows Server Installation of M3 10.1.
My doubts relate to the fact that the documentation says that for LSO, everything must be in Windows, but my situation is: M3 on IBM i, WAS on IBM i, LCM in Windows server.
