I noticed that the Work Eligibility documents listed in HR11 > Work Eligiblity are outdated.
Do you know if a patch was released to update this?
How are you tracking expiring documentation? Currently, we track via Lawson the first time around and once the document is updated then they go on a spreadsheet.
Are you overwriting the I-9 data to ensure that the most current data for documents that expire and need to be recertified are listed on HR11 > Work Eligibility?

Hi Rachel - which field/s, exactly, are you referring to? And which version of Lawson applications are you on? We're currently on 8.1, and had to define all of the documents on our own. When changes to the I-9 were implemented previously, we inactivated the codes that were no longer eligible to be used, and added those that were new. There was no patch.
For documents that require re-newal while the employee is still working, we use personnel actions and over-write the old information. All fields are marked to log history, so we can always determine what prior values may have been.

Stephanie,
We're on 9.0.
I thought that's what we'd have to do - inactive and create new codes. One would think that Lawson would take care of the work eligibilty documents since all companies are required to use the same specified I-9 documentation. What's an HR person to do?!
I'll have my group that verifies the documents create a PA to keep a history record on the system. Thanks!

I verified with Lawson - all Work Eligibility documents found on HR11 must be defined by the employer.
I found this odd since the documents are gov't controlled. Lawson's thought process was we might want to call the document something different than what the gov't calls it to make it more easy for employers to identify.
At any rate, I have updated our documents to reflect the current I-9 regulations.
