Lawson Administration Support for LSF 9

    I would like to know how other companies handle system support with in house installations.  With the upgrade to LSF9, there is a marked increase in complexity.  THe biggest obstacle seems to be around Websphere.  WHat training did your companies have for Websphere to support Lawson?

      You should look at IBM Websphere training courses. This is specific training provided by IBM on Websphere 6.0 and 6.1 administration. Some IBM partners also provide this training. The course is usually about a week long.

        Those classes has been overkill according to people who have attended it, since Lawson really only uses about 10% of Websphere's features.
        A solid Lawson admin should be able to sit with a consultant for a day, and have all the training they need.

          I've taken the class, and I found it (for me) vital to understanding how Websphere worked, how to install it, options, etc.

            Ok. Can you give me the name of the course? I looked and found alot of courses. I'm not sure which I should recommend. ALso, we are going to use process flow integrator (in the near future and it appears to use another module in Websphere? If that is the case, do developers also need Websphere training?

              You probablly want 6.1 but there is also 6.0

              Your PFI developers do not need the Websphere training. Really, the only people who will need the the Websphere training IMO is the person(s) who will be installing and/or admininistering Websphere.
