We Designed a Process Flow that has a Submitter and an Approver.  Sometimes, one of the users go on Vacation so I create a Proxy User for the person going on Vacation.  However, when running the Process Flow, the email that states that "this needs to be approved" goes to the person on vacation not to the Proxy User.  Same thing for submitting a file to be processed by the processflow (workflow).  Any emails that would go to the Submitter should go to the Proxy user but they still go the Submitter who is on vacation.  Does anyone know how to resolve this maybe show the code?

    Thank you!

OK, a little correction. I also get the file in my inbasked to approve or reject. Is there something special that needs to be done when using a proxy?

If you are sending the notification from the UserAction - Notification, then a proxy would not get a copy since they're not assigned within the UserAction. You would have to look up who's a proxy for the approver and send them an Email before going into the UserAction.

Is it normal for me to get the file even though there is a proxy user for me? How do I know if a user has a proxy user and how do I look up who the proxy user is so I can send an email to that person instead of it getting sent to me?

          Thank you!

Yes, setting up a proxy doesn't prevent you from getting the notice and item in your Inbasket to approve. If the Proxy is no longer in effect then you would still need to work the remaining items. You'd have to look up the Business Class for the proxy and query the table for the approver and assigned proxy. If I remember correctly, you can assign someone to proxy for you by Task or for all so you'd have to build out your Landmark Transaction Query to look up with the correct values.

What do you mean by looking up the Business Class for the proxy and query the table for the approver and assigned proxy?

Also, if the Proxy User Approves or Rejects the file, will it be removed from my inbasket?
