Long Term Disability

My company provides a LTD plan that pays 60 of your salary if you are disabled.  This premium is company paid.  At the time of disability, the 60 pay an associate receives is taxed.  We would like to change this moving forward by taxing each associate on the company paid premium amount.  This will then allow an associate that needs to go on LTD to receive their 60 tax free. BN532 header error

I am trying to import and process a file for BN532.  I keep getting the error: CSV Hdr Read Error: Fld Name I have compared my file layout to the workdef layout for the BNBATCH file and cannot see anything wrong.  I have checked my jobdef to make sure it specified headers and it does. Bank File Header

We run US payroll and are currently testing Canadian payroll.  One of the issues we have encountered is with the a qualifier header that needs to be added to the bank file for the Royal Bank of Canada. Has anyone added a customized header to the file that is generated from the PR160

Years of Experience

I am looking to see if anyone is tracking years of experience by position and include experience from previous employers, if so how   There was a post on this topic 5 years ago and a couple of suggestions were to use benefit dates 1-5 or position assignment date.  Neither of these options will work in our organization.

Identifying missing HRHISTORY records

Just an FYI I'm new to the HR module, I primarily work with CM,PA,PR,LP. I'm trying to identify any discrepancies between HRHISTORY and PA54 regarding a particular user field. Doesn't PERSACTHST table flow directly to the HRHISTORY table Any ideas what tables, etc. may be the best way to narrow down any variances Thanks for any help!

Company/Department Specific Security for HR in S3

Special 457(b) Catch-Up Contributions

Has anyone had experience with an employee who wants to contribute twice the annual limit to their 457(b) According to the IRS: Right now, the employee's 457 contributions are stopping at $18,000 but we need them to stop at $36,000. Thanks!!

Lawson External ESS - hiding search box

Please excuse cross-post   When we deployed Lawson ESS externally in 901, we had some code that removed the search box and any bookmarks other than ESS from our core users.     We are trying to do the same thing in Lawson 10 but apparently the same code doesn't work.     Has anyone successfully done this  Would you be willing to share how you've done it     Thanks is advance.     I  appreciate it.

Custom ESS pages

What we would like to do is make modifications to the ESS pages particularly around the benefit enrollment screens. I'm familiar with the portal ESS pages and directory structure and comfortable with modifying HTML and Javascript. But what I'm trying to accomplish is to have all of the pages live in \lawson\custom\ and have the \xhrnet and \xbnnet folders and pages remain exactly as they are delivered by Infor. My problem is that it seems everything is highly integrated to those delivered xhrnet...

BS05 Count days incorrectly

Our BS05 is set to allow New Hire Enrollment 30 days from Ben Date 1.  We have an instance where an employee was allowed to enroll on 7/27/16 when their Ben Date 1 was 6/27/2016.  The BS05 field help clearly states the 'this number of days (30) starts on the date in the From Date field (in our case, Ben Date 1).'  Any ideas on how this employee was allowed to enroll on the 31st day  Thanks.

Multiple currencies and benefits

Hi, Based on our observation, Lawson has no currency conversions between Benefits and Payroll.  Is anyone using multiple currencies in benefit plans and payroll I would be interested in knowing the pitfalls before going that route. Lawson requires that benefit plan currency must match HR11 employee currency, but we also have a situation where non US employees have to be covered under USD denominated plans. Has anyone implemented a similar requirement Thanks

401K Deduction not producing Net/Zero Check

The employee’s 401K deferral election is 75. The deduction code is set up to “Net Zero/No arrears” however this is not occurring. The system took 25 while leaving a net amount. Based on the set up I would have expected the net amount to be zero. Has anyone run into this before Thank you

BSI Cyclic 10.0.m

We applied BSI Cyclic 10.0.m in our development environment. After this we are unable to add job in LP140. We receive Security Violation error. However we have not applied the same cyclic update in our QA environment and we dont experience this issue there. We have a open ticket with lawson as well. But not much of progress. Curious to know if anybody here as experienced similar issue after applying BSI Cyclic 10.0.m.

ESS Marriage or Divorce Family Status Change

Currently if an employees goes through ESS and completes either the divorce or marriage family status change, it automatically updates their name (if they indicate the change) and changes their marital status.    We are trying to determine if there is a screen where we can either set a notification to go to a specific email address (like tax or address change) or if we can set it pending until it is approved by an administrator    Thanks,

Premiums based on salary

Benefits is considering setting up medical premiums based on an employee's status and salary.  Has anyone done this and would be will to share how you made it work  I'm not sure where to begin and would appreciate hearing about other's experiences.  What about employees who have changing salaries throughout the year  The premium should change as employee salaries change.
