Ok, I'll post again. I have seen some suggestions on how to configure the webserver or the client to have the Portal automatically logout after say 10 minitues of inactivity. I have seen some documents which describe how to do this in IIS 6.0 but I have tried the features there and it just don't work .... Has anyone ever delved into making the portal passwords expire Lawson hasn't thought of this (yet).. or not that I know of. But here's the catch, when a ldap password expires, Lawson doesn't tell them that their password has expired, it just comes back with 'Invalid password or login id' if you have that feature enabled. I have an accountant setup in Portal the same (so it seems) as a fellow accountant. However, this person can not access AM220, 240, ... and other forms that HE CAN access in LID What am I missing in his Portal set up I am new to Portal ADMIN btw...

Is there a way to authenticate a userid/password behind the scence and take them straight to the portal home page when it is valid. Any sample code or direction where to read would be appreciated. Now, recently we reactivated the ESS tool for Open Enrollment preparation/testing, and users were reporting back that they were getting 'error - INITIALIZING' after logging in. We are attempting to interface with the Lawson portal via some imaging software called FileDirector. They have a link program called Codeless Connector, which should link to various fields in the Lawson Portal. Instead of linking to individual fields, it wants to highlight the entire window in the Lawson portal. Anyone know of a way to load portal bookmark security (via a program or anything else besides dumping/loading certain logan tables) What I am getting at is, when setting up access in Bookmark Manager, I want a way to export the access settings for my groups and then reimport them into another environment, without having to manually set up the access again in the new environment's Bookmark Manager. Have a question.. On LX00.2 I associated a USERENV attribute to an ID Type (Employee) and assigned a default value on both LX00.1 and LX00.2. Fine. When I add a new user on RD30.1 with an ID Type of Employee, I would expect to see the PORTALROLE and the default value I assigned to it.. right On LX90.2 I see the Attribute in the list but there is no default value. I would like Portal to recongize custom Portal forms in /lawson/content/portal/pages folder, so I can run the command ' Set Custom Form PDL'. My 'Rebuild Custom Forms Index' command in Portal shows only /lawson/content/portal/forms and it's greyed out so I cannot change it. My security is open on RD30 for Logan... In Portal, I've got 5 custom programs I can successfully search for in the Search box in Portal. The search results in the 5 custom programs displaying OK. My web user record has login field tied to a security class (called SECLASSA for example). SECLASSA does have full access to the custom programs. If I change my login field tied to another security class (SECLASSB), then IOSCACHERefresh, then login again, and try to search in the Search box, the 5 Custom programs ARE NOT found (0 Hits)...
