HR15 upload...HELP

    I am trying to upload to HR15 (user defined fields). Bascially we want to do a 2-step upload. First to PA31 (which works fine) but then we need to upload the HR15 for each of the applicants we just added through the PA31 upload. I have a template that I found online, but I must be missing something. How do you do the two step process?

      We use HR515 for this upload. We first upload to PA31 using PA531, then HR15 ising HR515. We have automated the process so that once PA531 is done, it calls HR515 to run so that we can import to the user fields from our online application.

        If I understand your question, you have uploaded the options/values for user fields for your applicants, and now you want to upload the specific values for the user fields and tie them to your applicants? If that's correct, you'll need to start your upload for the second piece using HREMPUSRFL and then tie it to the APPLICANT table.

          I am very new at working with the add-in product so I'm trying my best to explain.

          I had first set up a process to export our applicants from an Access Database I had designed. We upload the results from that export into PA31.

          I thought that maybe I would have to run a report from Lawson (pulling the current date from the date-stamp field), add in my data for the user defined fields and then upload to HR15.

          I've attached a spreadsheet to show you how I have that set up. I had to convert it to a pdf file which pushed it to two pages.

          First of all, when I try to "change only" I get an error stating that it can't add to a field it can't find.

          Is there an easier way to do this? If not, is there something wrong with my spreadsheet?

            Looks like your problem could be with column 3 - it appears you're mapping to the employee number, and need to mapp to the applicant number

              Which field should I be mapping the app number to? It doesn't seem to be an option.

                My bad - you're correct. The flag EMP-APP determines that the number is the applicant number. Sorry for the confusion. Did you try to add the fields, instead of changing, if this is the first time you're uploading the data to the app record? User fields are pretty funky -

                    I should mention I am using a very old version of Lawson...version 8.
