We are implementing GHX. We are on LSF 901, apps 9.0.0.7 and EDI 8.1.0.55. GHX has requested that we send them the 850's to include PER and MSG segments. I learned that GHX and Lawson had worked together to write appropriate scripts for GHX (inb and out files) beginning with the level of EDI my org is currently on.

In the Infor KB I learned that there is a place in the supplied Lawson script where you can add TPID's and the 850 will then contain at least the PER segments. (I checked our 850 output and found that Cardinal, whose TPID is in the file, does create PER segments; Medline, not in the script file as of yet, does not.) So, I have the option of at least editing the laws_90_out file.

I did see in a patch in the Infor download area for the newer version of Lawson and was able to download it. It has laws_out_91_ghx and laws_inb_91_ghx script files in it.

I then opened a case with Infor to find out if they could supply me with the appropriate laws_90_out_ghx script, or whether the newer versions of the script files would work, and was told 'your version is unsupported, sorry, we must close this incident.' I responded that we are paying for extended support, so they are at least looking into it. Considering they must have the correct ghx script files there it's ridiculous that we pay for service and they are going to see if they deign to provide it.

My questions are, is there any chance the laws_out_91_ghx script file would work? (Currently our system is using the _90_  script file versions.) Is there anyplace I could get the two script files, presumably laws_90_out_ghx and laws_90_inb_ghx, which would work on our system? While I can edit the existing _out_ file and add TPID's to it, doing so adds PER segments but I don't know that it will add the MSG segments. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Infor's initial suggestion was 'migrate your apps to 9.0.1 and then the current file will work'. We are months from being able to upgrade our apps to 9.0.1 and that suggestion was worse than worthless. Yes, I want to upgrade our HR, GL, and Materials systems in order two get two lousy script files!
