Hello All,
We have several Crystal reports published to LBI that currenlty do not have drill down capability. How can we allow drill down capability to the reports that can be drilled down?
I look forward to your suggestions on how to go about doing this.
thanks in advance,
imty

We have a crystal report based on the mm-280. Select "hide-drill down ok" to be able to drill to the crystal groups. This does not go to "lawson drill around" though.

Gary, would you mind sharing your MM280 Crystal report with me? I tried unsuccessfully to create one of my own. What we've done is we run the MM280 and then using the Lawson Query Builder tapped the report output and used that in Crystal. Not the most efficient way to do it but since MM280 isn't burstable it serves the purpose.

to answer the first posters quesiton, Drill Down is enabled with the Crystal Report Editor. Right click in the margin to the left of the group you want to be the detail drilldown and select Section Expert. Here youll see all the drilldown options.
Gary,
I believe what youre looking for is LAL. In Lawson Back Office Reports (LBO) these are generated automatically if they are available however when using Crystal youll have to construct your own Drill Around strings. Check the Reporting Services user guide for specific instructions and examples for you version of LBI as there are differences depending on what version youre on.

Dave,
Send me your email and I'll share. ggasta@chs-mi.com
Matt,
Thanks. I don't want to "lawson drill" from my report but wanted to make sure imty understood I was only refering to "crystal drill".
I do have a question related to this thread anyway.
The process we use for this report is:
Run MM-280
Open refresh and save crystal report. (no parameters since its using whatever is in the recent mm280)
Save report
Refresh "my services" report to point to the crystal report. (prob wrong step)
This works but we do not get "historical instances" created with this process.
Is there a better way that what is explained above? Thanks.
