Does anyone know how (or if) one can change a flex plan year in Lawson? We've been on Lawson about 10 years now and we've always had benefit plan years begin on January 1, but last year we changed our benefit year to match our fiscal year, starting July 1. At the time, I could not figure out how to change the Flex set up in Lawson so we trudged on knowing we'd have some problems. At the end of the year we ran up against a lot of issues I'd like to resolve if I could just figure it out so my HRIS staff doesn't have to keep doing these manual overrides. Anyone been through this before? If so, what did you have to do? We are on v 9.1.8. Any suggestions are welcome. It may be just what I need!

Maybe I am missing the question, but couldn't you use July 1 on BN08?

I did add a new flex plan for 07/01, but it keeps looking at the old plan that is effective 01/01. Please continue to give me suggestions or ask questions, because there probably is a simple explanation to fix this that I haven't seen it in documentation yet.

Did you add a stop date on the old plan on BN08?

I don't see a place to put a stop date on that form. Trust me, I would love for Lawson to put one on there! It would make this so much easier!

How about changing your FLEX plan name and putting a new one out there for July 1, but then you would aslo have to change your HL, DN, RS plans as of July 1 to read from the new FLEX plan name??? I am just throwing out ideas....

Doing this from memory, but I think the flex year start date defined on BN06 as DD/MM. So you'd change it from 01/01 to to 07/01 - assuming it allows a change. If not, you'll have to go with Tracy's suggestion above and create a new plan.
